Pakistan’s Ambassador Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry addressed a community event in New Jersey Friday evening organized by Pakistani American Business Association of North America (PABANA).
Dignitaries from Pakistani American businesses, Pakistani American youth, local government officials and community leaders attended the community event– one of the highest concentrations of Pakistanis are in the New York tri-state region.
Following speeches by keynote speakers, question and answer session, and interactions among the attendees, a lavish dinner was served with authentic Pakistani cuisine followed by a spectacular Musical performance.

Arif Afzal Usmani, the founding head of PABANA said the non-profit organization has announced its First Ever Business Excellence Awards for Pakistani Businesses based in North America as well as for those Pakistan-based businesses that are making a great contribution in Pakistan with excellent products and services.
Pakistan and US bilateral trade has traditionally been at the top position over the years with trade deficit skewed toward imports from Pakistan– mostly textile products.
According to a BE2C2 study, around 650,000 Pakistanis are gainfully employed in the US, and their yearly average individual remittance home has remained the highest over the years. Based on last fiscal year total remittance figure of $1.7 billion, each Pakistani living in the U.S. on the average remitted $2632 (Rs.276,000)– the figure stands out highest among 9 million Pakistani community worldwide, the study shows.
The study also reveals that Pakistanis living in North America (USA and Canada) as well as UK and EU countries have the highest disposal income, credit worthiness, and available credit facilities available to them individually which can be tapped and enabled for investment offers back in Pakistan both individually as well as community-based.
